Marissa comes from a distinctive line of color on both sides. We chose her for her dark brown “spots” hoping to get a “fancy” or colored cria. When bred to dark herdsires she has given us 2 for 2 spectacular babies: Tempest, a bay black, sold at the 2003 SpringFling auction, and Riptide’s Roxy, a spectacular maroon girl soon to make her show debut. Her cinnamon-brown female cria born in October (Rosie) out of Chocolate took a 4th in her class at MAPACA and a 3rd at PAOBA in 2006 and will be bred in the spring of 2007.
